A & J Roofing Solutions

A & J Roofing Solutions is a roofing contractor based in Cairns, servicing Cairns and Far North Queensland for over 18 years. The owner and director is Allen Ashby, who has over thirty years of roofing experience. The company specialises in metal roofing, ceiling and wall cladding. It is QBCC licensed and fully insured. All new roofs and reroofs are QBCC insured with roof upgrades and council certification. On completion, customers receive a Bluescope warranty and Form 43. The company has completed reconstructive work on the Cooktown Museum.

Allen Ashby has experience in commercial and industrial sheds, recycling facilities, schools, hospitals, service stations, and medical facilities across Far North Queensland. He has worked on major shopping centres in Mossman and Port Douglas, defence facilities in Weipa and Schergar, and the Daintree research centre. He has contributed to remote housing construction for Torres Strait Island communities. Services include metal roofing, SolarArk, steel gutters, fascia and downpipes, SolarSpan, and wall and ceiling cladding.

Allen Ashby and his team are named by customers for expertise and professionalism across roof replacement and associated work, with the finished roof described as excellent and completed to a high standard. Reviewers often mention punctuality, noting that the crew arrived as arranged and managed to fit one job in before Christmas. A point that comes up often is communication: clear, kind and courteous exchanges before and during the job, with one customer thanking the whole staff for their approach.

The size and coordination of the crew are also raised, with the operation said to run smoothly, allowing the work to be finished quickly without cutting corners. Compliance matters are touched on, with the job completed to code and passing council sign-off, which gave the customer confidence. On cost, one account notes the quote was not the lowest obtained, yet the hassle-free process and the effort put in made the choice worthwhile. Creative solutions to problems and a stress-free experience come through as well, particularly for a roof replacement carried out efficiently.
