JD's Guttering & Metal Roofing

JD's Guttering & Metal Roofing has operated for over 25 years. Lifelong friends John and Doug founded the company. Doug's son Kyle has taken over operations, and John has retired. The business is based in Newcastle and services the Newcastle and Central Coast regions.

It works with residential, commercial and industrial properties, as well as real estate agents, property managers and builders. ACE Gutters is its gutter and roofing manufacturer. The company provides licensed and insured tradesmen. It specialises in gutter installation, COLORBOND roofing, roof ventilation, gutter guards, and leaf guards.

Gutter replacement, downpipe modification and metal roofing work form the core of what customers describe, with leaf guards, whirlybirds and carport or pergola structures also featuring in accounts of completed projects. Kyle is named regularly as the point of contact, and reviewers often describe him as prompt with callbacks and quotes, approachable throughout and willing to explain the fascia and guttering process before work begins. The crew, including Doug, is described as friendly, polite and respectful, with several accounts noting punctual arrival and jobs finished in a single day.

Workmanship is consistently described as professional and efficient, and customers mention that challenging or awkward sections were handled safely. Tidiness comes up often, with sites left clean and debris removed after installation. Pricing is described as fair, and communication is praised both before the job and during it. Coloured-matched gutters, downpipes and leaf screening are noted as part of the finished result, which customers say has enhanced the appearance of their homes. The standard of the completed guttering and roofing work is the theme running through nearly every account, with customers stating they would use the team again for similar projects.
