Woodmans Roofing Centre

Woodmans Roofing Centre is a Steeline Roofing Centre operating in Mackay as a Steeline member. It is the only family-owned roofing business in the Mackay area and employs 17 local people. The business supplies COLORBOND and ZINCALUME roofing products, rainwater goods, metal fascia, gutters and flashings, screws, skylights and insulation. It manufactures Steeline Sheds as kits or custom designs. Qualified plumbers install its products to new or existing homes.

Roofing supplies and shed packages form the core of what this Mackay business provides, with customers describing a broad range of stock and materials of solid quality. Several reviewers highlight the helpfulness of the staff at the front counter, noting in particular a young woman who served them and left a positive impression, while others mention friendly service and competitive pricing on roofing goods.

Good advice on product selection is a point that comes up often, suggesting the team is willing to guide buyers through their options. Alongside roofing materials, the company handles garage and shed construction as well as steel building work, and reviews of these larger projects tell a more uneven story. Accounts of shed installations describe defects that were eventually addressed, leaks that appeared later and finishes that were not up to standard, with several attempts needed before the problems were resolved.

Communication after the job is a recurring theme in these critical accounts, with customers reporting difficulty obtaining follow-up calls and quotes for extension work, and one order for screen doors taking an extended period to complete after repeated errors. The feedback points to dependable counter service and product range on one side, and patchy project follow-through on the other.
